Palm Oil Production Process
The production process of palm oil is mainly divided into three parts: pressing, refining and fractionation. Pressing is the process of extracting palm oil from palm fruit. Refining and fractionation is the deep processing of palm oil, and high-quality palm oil can be obtained after deep processing. Palm oil manufacturers can choose the corresponding palm oil production part according to their own needs.

Classification of palm oil
After the palm fruit is boiled, crushed and extracted, crude palm oil is obtained. After the crude palm oil is refined to remove free fatty acids, natural pigments and odors, refined palm oil (RBDPO) and palm salad oil (RBD PKO) are obtained. According to different needs, palm oil with different melting points such as 24 degrees, 33 degrees and 44 degrees can be obtained through fractionation.
Palm oil is the third largest consumed oil and the largest imported oil in my country. According to USDA data, in 2022/2023, the total consumption of the nine major oils and fats in my country is 40.86 million tons, of which palm oil is 6.9 million tons, accounting for 17%; the total import volume of the nine major oils and fats is 13.17 million tons, and the import of palm oil is 7.2 million tons, accounting for 17%. than 55%.
Weather affects yields. The impact of weather on palm oil yield is mainly manifested in two aspects of rainfall and temperature. In terms of rainfall, it is generally required to be above 1500mm, and the average annual rainfall in Indonesia and Malaysia, the two main producing countries, is around 2000mm. In terms of temperature, palm oil needs an environment with an annual average temperature of 24°C-27°C and more than 5 hours of sunshine per day.
