Biomass environmentally friendly clean fuel—palm shell     Palm shell is the core of palm oil. In the process of refining palm oil, the core is first extracted from the pulp, and then the shell of the core is cut off. The cut part is the palm shell ( English name: PalmKernelShell (PKS)). Its characteristic is that the calorific value produced during combustion is 4300-4800 kcal/KG. It has a higher calorific value than ordinary bio-pellet fuels such as wood chips, rice stalks, and straw stalks. It burns more fully than coal and has lower ash content than coal. Can reduce carbon emissions.
Palm shell fuel has low sulfur and phosphorus content and produces basically no sulfur dioxide and phosphorus pentoxide when burned. Its unique chemical properties can reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Palm shells themselves have little value and have been abandoned for a long time. In 2005, a cement manufacturing plant in Malaysia used palm shells as biofuel, burning them with coal to generate heat. Today, manufacturing plants in many European countries, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Italy, have begun to try to use palm shells mixed with coal to provide energy to alleviate rising fuel costs and reduce carbon emissions. Currently it is mainly used as fuel in power plants, cement plants, printing and dyeing plants, food plants, electroplating plants, etc. It is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly fuel.
From the perspective of sustainable human development, we focus on improving the environmental needs of human survival and development, actively respond to challenges such as international resource shortages, energy supply and demand contradictions, global warming and environmental degradation, and actively respond to the party and the country’s efforts to accelerate energy structure adjustment and promote energy conservation. With the great call to reduce emissions and build a beautiful China, with the long-term goal of developing non-fossil energy, renewable biomass energy palm shells vigorously cater to the general trend of environmentally sustainable development in today’s world. <strong>&nbsp;Features and advantages of palm shells:
(1) Palm shells are plant-derived renewable energy, which can be regenerated through photosynthesis of plants. They are renewable energy sources like wind energy and solar energy. As a traditional oil crop in Southeast Asia, palm trees have a short growth cycle, fast recycling, and fast recycling. It is a long-term, reliable and stable renewable biofuel that ensures sustainable use of energy!
(2) The sulfur content and nitrogen content of palm shells are low, and less SOx (sulfur oxide compounds) and NOx (nitrogen oxide compounds) are generated during the combustion process. When palm shells are used as fuel, because they need to grow Carbon dioxide is equivalent to the amount of carbon dioxide it emits, so the carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere are close to zero, which can effectively reduce the greenhouse effect. Compared with traditional coal and heavy oil, palm shells have less smoke, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and smoke black. In terms of four indicators, it is significantly better than the relevant national standards, which is destined to have an innate advantage in environmental protection compared with traditional fossil fuels.
(3), high calorific value. The combustion heat value of palm shell is as high as 4300-4800Kcal/KG, the moisture is less than 18%, the ash content is less than 3%, and it burns fully, especially suitable for large boilers.
(4) The processing method of palm shells during the production process is as follows: first steam the palm fruit bunches with 180°C steam for about 1.5 hours, which can kill the organisms in the fruit bunches and achieve the effect of disinfection and killing bacteria. After the palm kernels are separated, they are mechanically crushed, then boiled in 100°C boiling water for about 1 hour, and then the palm shells are successfully separated using the water separation method to obtain the required biomass environmentally friendly and clean fuel palm shell particles. No chemicals are added to it and it is a natural biomass pellet fuel.
(5), stable in nature and resistant to storage. Palm shell has a high density, reaching 1.1, which is not easily broken and is convenient for storage and transportation. Its total moisture content generally does not exceed 18%, and it is easy to dry quickly after getting wet. Its physical and chemical properties will not change significantly after being exposed to the sun and rain for a long time (1-2 years). It is durable and has low storage and transportation requirements.
